Dogs and Kids
Regardless of how well trained your dogs are, I never recommend you leave children in the presence of dogs unaccompanied. For that matter, I wouldn't leave my kids in the company of some adults.
There is no reason you can't start teaching your kids today how to interact best with your dogs.
Children model their behaviour on other people. Sometimes this modelling comes from watching other adults (mostly parents), but also comes from peer group modelling, and watching tv.
You have the opportunity to provide an excellent environment to teach a child the appropriate way to manage dog behaviour. This means you can teach your child from an early age the appropriate leadership techniques, so they too can learn to be a benevolant and kind leader to their dog/s.
